Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Electronics Assembly & Test Technician to support the manufacturing, integration, and testing of advanced RF and embedded electronic systems. The ideal candidate should possess strong PCB assembly skills, with experience in RF board assembly being highly desirable. The role also involves assisting engineers in functional testing, debugging, and production activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform through-hole and SMD PCB assembly, soldering, rework, and repair.
- Assemble RF, digital, and power electronics modules as per engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Handle RF assemblies including connectors, coaxial cables, shielding, and impedance-sensitive components with proper workmanship.
- Carry out visual inspection and quality checks on assembled PCBs.
- Support functional testing of RF, power electronics, and digital circuits under engineer supervision.
- Operate laboratory equipment such as Digital Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, DC Power Supplies, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, and Vector Network Analyzers (preferred).
- Diagnose and report assembly defects, component failures, and manufacturing issues.
- Maintain production records, test reports, and inventory of components and tools.
- Ensure adherence to ESD, safety, and quality procedures during assembly and testing.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / ITI / Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, or a related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in electronics assembly or manufacturing (freshers with strong practical skills may also be considered).
Required Skills
- Proficiency in SMD and through-hole PCB assembly and soldering.
- Good understanding of electronic components and PCB layouts.
- Ability to interpret schematics, BOMs, and assembly drawings.
- Familiarity with basic RF, digital, and power electronic circuits.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory test equipment and measurement techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in RF PCB assembly and microwave connectors (SMA, N-Type, MMCX, etc.).
- Familiarity with RF shielding, cable assembly, and impedance-sensitive layouts.
- Exposure to defense, aerospace, telecommunications, or embedded electronics products.
- Knowledge of IPC assembly standards and ESD-safe manufacturing practices.
