Job Description:
Designation: Design Engineer
Location: Whitefield, Bangalore
Offered Salary: 30K - 40K Per Month
Exp Required: 2 - 3 years
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Drawings:
o Utilise CAD software such as Rhinoceros 3D/SolidWorks, etc to create precise technical drawings based on client specifications. Ensure all details are included for manufacturability.
o Make it a standard practice to include comprehensive details in your drawings, such as dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications, etc.
2. Coordination with Sales and Clients:
o Facilitate regular communication with the retail team/projects team and clients to clarify drawing requirements and address any questions or concerns.
3. Client Meetings:
o Prepare for client meetings by reviewing specifications and potential alternatives. Be ready to present options that align with industry standards and best practices.
4. Timely Delivery:
o Use project management tools to track progress and deadlines. Prioritize tasks based on project timelines to ensure timely delivery of drawings.
5. Factory Coordination:
o Establish a communication channel with the production team. Regular check-ins can help address queries and ensure that the drawings are being interpreted correctly.
6. Product Checks:
o Conduct reviews of sample products during production to ensure designs align with intended proportions, comfort, and ergonomics. Gather feedback for necessary adjustments.
o Understanding specifications given as per the brief and prompt response against any clarification required with any of the internal teams.
7. Documentation Management:
o Implement an organized file management system to document all project files and folders.
8. Additional requirements:
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest design software, industry standards, and ergonomic studies to enhance your skills and knowledge.
9. Feedback Loop: Implement a feedback system where you can gather input from clients and production teams post-delivery to refine your design processes for future projects.
