Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Database Developer with strong expertise in designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining database systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in MySQL, PostgreSQL, and database performance tuning, with the ability to support scalable and reliable applications.
Location : Chennai / Hybrid
Experience: Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in Database Development
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain database solutions and database objects
- Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers
- Manage and support MySQL and PostgreSQL database environments
- Perform database performance tuning and query optimization
- Design database schemas and data models based on business requirements
- Monitor database performance, availability, and data integrity
- Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
- Support database deployment, migration, and version upgrades
- Collaborate with application and engineering teams for data integration and troubleshooting
- Identify and resolve database-related performance issues
Required Skills
- Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in MySQL and PostgreSQL
- Strong expertise in SQL programming and query optimization
- Experience with database design, indexing, normalization, and performance tuning
- Strong knowledge of stored procedures, triggers, views, and functions
- Experience in database backup, restore, and recovery
- Understanding of database security, permissions, and access control
- Experience in data migration and ETL processes
- Good understanding of Linux environments
- Experience using Git / version control systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
