Job Title: Sales Executive – Lifting & Material Handling Equipment

Job Purpose
The Sales Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying potential business opportunities, delivering tailored industrial solutions, and closing sales for lifting products (chains, steel wire ropes , hoists, slings, tackles) and material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet trucks, stackers). This role focuses on building strong B2B relationships across manufacturing, warehousing, infrastructure, and logistics sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Lead Generation
· Identify potential clients in manufacturing hubs, warehouses, logistics parks, and infrastructure projects.
· Conduct daily cold calls and industrial site visits to establish direct contact with key decision-makers.
· Build a robust sales pipeline to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
Technical Consultation & Solution Selling
· Analyze client application needs on-site to understand structural load capacities, material types, and floor workflows.
· Recommend specific machinery configurations like customized overhead cranes, electric hoists, or specialized forklifts.
· Provide technical briefings and product demonstrations to engineering, safety, and procurement teams.
Commercial Management & Deal Closure
· Prepare commercial proposals, formal quotes, and tender submissions according to corporate pricing guidelines.
· Negotiate technical specifications, delivery timelines, warranty terms, and payment structures to secure high-value contracts.
· Coordinate with production and service departments to ensure smooth equipment delivery, installation, and after-sales setup.
Market Intelligence & CRM Reporting
· Track competitor product offerings, pricing adjustments, and emerging technological trends within the material handling industry.
· Update CRM software regularly with accurate customer contact records, active deal stages, and weekly sales forecasts.
· Participate in industrial trade shows, equipment exhibitions, and regional business networking events.
Required Qualifications and Experience
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a relevant technical field.
· Experience: 2 to 5 years of successful field sales experience, specifically handling heavy industrial machinery, lifting tackle, or warehouse equipment.
· Industry Network: Prior relationships with factory managers, warehouse heads, procurement executives, and real estate developers is highly valued.
Key Skills and Competencies
· Technical Aptitude: Deep comprehension of material handling mechanics, load capacity ratings, and industrial safety regulations.
· Strong Negotiation: Proven ability to manage long B2B sales cycles and successfully negotiate complex commercial agreements.
· Communication: Exceptional verbal and written presentation skills to effectively convey technical solutions to non-technical buyers.
· Mobility: Must possess a valid driver’s license and demonstrate total willingness to travel extensively across the designated industrial territory.
