About the Role
We are looking for a motivated IPR Prosecution Associate with 1–3 years of relevant experience to handle intellectual property prosecution matters, particularly trademarks and/or patents. The candidate will be responsible for managing prosecution activities, preparing legal documents, coordinating with clients and authorities, and ensuring timely compliance with statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day IP prosecution matters, including filing, examination, hearings, oppositions, responses, renewals, and related proceedings.
- Draft and review applications, examination responses, notices, pleadings, affidavits, evidence, and other IP-related documents.
- Conduct trademark and/or patent searches and provide preliminary analysis on registrability, objections, conflicts, and prosecution strategy.
- Monitor and manage deadlines, statutory timelines, hearings, and procedural requirements.
- Appear before or assist in matters before relevant IP Offices, authorities, and tribunals, as applicable.
- Conduct legal and procedural research relating to Indian IP laws, rules, regulations, and case law.
- Prepare client updates, legal opinions, status reports, and prosecution strategies.
- Coordinate with clients, counsel, associates, and IP authorities for smooth handling of matters.
- Maintain accurate records of applications, prosecution history, correspondence, and deadlines.
- Assist in portfolio management and IP due diligence, where required.
- Stay updated on developments in Indian and international intellectual property laws and practices.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- LL.B./LL.M. from a recognized university.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in IPR prosecution, preferably with a law firm, IP boutique, corporate legal team, or IP practice.
- Good understanding of Indian Trademark and/or Patent laws and prosecution procedures.
- Strong legal drafting and research skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple matters and statutory deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and IP-related databases/online filing portals.
- Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Trademark Prosecution will be preferred.
- Exposure to Patent Prosecution, Designs, Copyright, or other IP matters will be an advantage.
- Experience handling FER responses, trademark examination reports, hearings, oppositions, rectifications, renewals, and related proceedings is desirable.
- Familiarity with IP India online filing and search portals is an advantage.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
