The Floor Supervisor is responsible for supervising day-to-day shop floor activities, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and operational efficiency. The role involves coordinating manpower, monitoring machinery, planning production processes, and ensuring compliance with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Process Planning
- Plan and allocate daily production activities.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely completion of work.
- Monitor workflow and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Maintain production records and report daily progress.
Quality Inspection
- Conduct in-process and final quality inspections.
- Ensure all fabricated components meet drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Identify defects and coordinate corrective actions.
- Maintain quality inspection records.
Safety Inspection
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company safety policies.
- Conduct routine safety inspections on the shop floor.
- Verify proper use of PPE by all employees.
- Report unsafe conditions and initiate corrective measures.
Machinery Checks
- Perform daily inspections of production machinery and equipment.
- Ensure machines are operating efficiently and safely.
- Report breakdowns and coordinate with the maintenance team.
- Maintain machinery inspection checklists.
Team Supervision
- Supervise operators, welders, fitters, and helpers.
- Assign work and monitor employee performance.
- Ensure discipline and adherence to company procedures.
- Provide guidance and training to shop floor personnel.
Documentation
- Maintain production, quality, safety, and machinery inspection records.
- Prepare daily reports and submit them to management.
- Assist during internal and external audits.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month
