Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Software Engineer / Lead with 7–10 years of experience in telecom software development to join our Core Network & Protocols team. In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize core business logic across various modules aligned with 3GPP and IETF standards. You will take end-to-end ownership of core feature development, issue resolution, and system performance enhancements on Linux platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Logic & Feature Development:
- Design, architect, and implement high-performance, robust business logic modules using C/C++ on Linux environments.
- Build protocol stacks and network services compliant with 3GPP (4G LTE / 5G NR Core/RAN) and IETF specifications.
- Enhance existing software capabilities and drive new feature additions from concept to deployment.
- Sustaining Engineering & Issue Resolution:
- Investigate, debug, and fix complex production and field-reported issues.
- Perform root cause analysis using system debugging tools (GDB, Valgrind, Wireshark, core dump analysis).
- Performance & Architecture Optimization:
- Optimize multithreaded systems, memory utilization, and latency-critical network applications.
- Participate in low-level and high-level architectural design reviews and unit/integration testing.
Qualifications & RequirementsMandatory Skills
- Core Technical: Proficiency in C / C++ programming and Linux system programming.
- Telecom Standards: Solid working knowledge of 3GPP (4G/5G architecture) and IETF standard protocols.
- Concurrency & Network Programming: Strong experience with IPC (Inter-Process Communication), multithreading, socket programming, and memory management.
- Operating System: Deep understanding of Linux OS internals, system calls, and performance tuning.
- Debugging Tools: Proficient in GDB, Valgrind, Wireshark, and static/dynamic code analysis tools.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech in CSE).
Experience
- 7 to 10 years of hands-on experience in telecom protocol stack or system software development.
Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with 5G Core (5GC) or 4G EPC network elements (e.g., AMF, UPF, SMF, MME, SGW/PGW).
- Familiarity with protocols such as SIP, Diameter, SCTP, GTP, or S1AP/NGAP.
- Exposure to cloud-native telecom infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes, Microservices).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, automated regression suites).
Pay: From ₹700,000.00 per year
