Job Summary:
A Medical Gas Technician (Oxygen Manifold Technician) is responsible for operating, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing medical gas systems in hospitals and healthcare facilities. Their work ensures the safe and uninterrupted supply of oxygen and other medical gases to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and commission Medical Gas Pipeline Systems (MGPS) including oxygen, nitrous oxide, medical air, and vacuum systems.
- Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance of MGPS equipment.
- Identify faults and carry out troubleshooting and necessary repairs.
- Ensure all systems comply with applicable safety standards and regulations.
- Monitor gas pressure levels, control panels, and alarm systems.
- Coordinate with engineers and hospital staff for smooth system operations.
- Maintain proper service records, logs, and documentation.
- Attend emergency breakdowns and ensure minimal system downtime.
Requirements:
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical or relevant field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in oxygen manifold or medical gas systems (hospital experience preferred).
- Knowledge of MGPS operations and safety procedures.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
- Willingness to work in shifts.
Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
