Hiring alert for Operations Head for Northstar AI
Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
* Build and manage Northstar’s India operations end-to-end
* Execute large-scale deployments across multiple states and industries
* Develop scalable SOPs for data collection, hardware handling, QA, and logistics
* Oversee daily operational targets and expansion metrics
* Manage regional operations managers, contractors, and field teams
Facility & Vendor Network Expansion
* Build relationships with factories, industrial operators, and commercial facilities
* Source and onboard new operational partners across India
* Negotiate deployment access and operational agreements
* Expand Northstar’s footprint into new industries and geographies
Data Collection & Quality Assurance
* Ensure high-quality egocentric and multimodal data collection
* Monitor operational KPIs including:
* usable data yield
* deployment uptime
* hardware utilization
* workforce efficiency
* QA pass rates
* Coordinate with technical teams on annotation, uploads, and infrastructure workflows
Logistics & Hardware Operations
* Manage deployment logistics for large fleets of recording hardware
* Handle inventory systems, device tracking, replacements, repairs, and procurement
* Build systems for rapid deployment at scale
* Coordinate upload and storage infrastructure across operational sites
Team Building
* Recruit, train, and manage high-performance field operations teams
* Build a culture focused on speed, accountability, and execution
* Create operational incentive structures tied to measurable output
Requirements
* 5+ years of experience in operations, supply chain, industrial deployment, manufacturing operations, logistics, or field execution
* Proven ability to manage large distributed teams
* Experience operating in high-intensity startup environments preferred
* Strong understanding of operational systems and process scaling
* Comfortable traveling extensively across India
* Ability to solve problems independently in ambiguous environments
* Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
* Experience with manufacturing or industrial environments is highly preferred
