This is a dual-role position requiring the incumbent to manage corporate HR initiatives at the Head Office while also overseeing HR activities at multiple plant locations. The role involves driving HR strategy, policies, and compliance at a corporate level, while extensively travelling to plants to ensure statutory compliance, industrial relations, and smooth execution of HR operations at the ground level.
- Develop, implement, and standardize HR policies, systems, and SOPs across corporate and plants.
- Lead corporate-level manpower planning and budgeting.
- Drive digitization and automation of HR processes through HRMS tools.
- Monitor payroll, attendance systems, and employee database accuracy across locations.
- Partner with leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and succession planning.
- Drive end-to-end recruitment for both corporate and plant functions.
- Strengthen employer branding to attract high-quality talent.
- Ensure structured onboarding and induction across all locations.
- Design and roll out performance management frameworks across HO and plants.
- Align KPIs and goals with business objectives, ensuring measurability and fairness.
- Build and execute a Learning & Development roadmap for corporate and plant employees.
- Roll out leadership programs and technical upskilling initiatives across sites.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws, including but not limited to:
- Factories Act, Shops & Establishments Act, Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act, Payment of Wages Act, Minimum Wages Act, Payment of Bonus Act, Payment of Gratuity Act, Employees’ Provident Fund Act, Employees’ State Insurance Act, Industrial Disputes Act, Maternity Benefit Act, and POSH.
- Guide Plant HR teams in handling inspections, statutory filings, and audits.
- Maintain strong industrial relations and support union negotiations when required.
- Establish a consistent grievance redressal mechanism across all units.
- Represent the company with statutory authorities, labour departments, and government bodies.
- Build and maintain strong networks with local administration and external stakeholders for seamless compliance and operations.
- Travel extensively to plant locations to supervise and support local HR teams.
- Ensure uniform implementation of HR policies across plants.
- Act as escalation point for critical IR issues and disputes at plant level.
- Conduct periodic HR audits to assess compliance, employee engagement, and process adherence.
- Support Plant HR teams in manpower planning, retention strategies, and workforce productivity.
- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent.
- 15–20 years of HR experience, with exposure to both corporate HR and plant HR oversight
- Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, labour laws, and industrial relations.
- Experience in managing HR in manufacturing/industrial environments is essential.
- Willingness to travel extensively to plant sites.
- Strong statutory compliance and labour law expertise.
- Ability to balance corporate HR strategy with plant-level execution
- Excellent stakeholder management and government liaison skills.
