DevOps Engineer (1–2 Years Experience)
About the Role
You'll help keep our infrastructure stable, our deployments smooth, and our systems observable. You'll work alongside senior engineers and with our backend, frontend, AI, and product teams - owning day-to-day operational work while growing into larger infrastructure ownership. We're looking for someone who understands how the pieces fit together, not someone who has already done everything.
What You'll Do
● Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines; automate builds, deployments, and rollbacks
● Run and support AWS infrastructure — compute, networking, storage
● Containerize applications with Docker and help operate workloads on Kubernetes
● Build dashboards and alerts in Grafana, and manage centralized logging with Loki
● Watch system health, respond to alerts, and assist with production incidents and RCA
● Write Bash scripts to automate repetitive operational tasks
● Apply security and access-control best practices (IAM, secrets, network rules)
● Document runbooks and work with developers to shorten release cycles
Must Have (Hands-On)
● 1–2 years in a DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure role
● Strong Linux fundamentals — processes, permissions, networking, troubleshooting
● AWS: EC2, S3, VPC, Load Balancers, IAM
● Docker: writing Dockerfiles, building images, debugging containers
● Kubernetes: comfortable deploying workloads, reading logs, debugging pods, understanding core objects (Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Ingress) — you don't need to have built a cluster from scratch
DevOps Engineer (1–2 Years Experience)
● Grafana & Loki: building dashboards, setting alert rules, querying logs (basic LogQL)
● CI/CD with Jenkins.
● Bash scripting
● Networking basics: DNS, SSL/TLS, TCP/IP
Good to Have
● Backend fundamentals with Node.js — able to read application code, understand how a service starts, where it reads config from, and how to debug a failing app (npm/package.json, environment variables, common runtime errors)
● Infrastructure as Code — Terraform or CloudFormation
● Prometheus, Helm, or similar tooling
● Exposure to production environments or on-call rotations
● Awareness of AWS cost optimization
● Basic security hardening concepts
● SaaS or travel tech background
What We're Not Expecting
You don't need deep expertise across every item above. If you're solid on Linux, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and the Grafana/Loki stack — and you understand the rest well enough to reason about it and learn quickly — we'd like to talk.
