Job Summary
The Facility Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, safety, and upkeep of institutional facilities including offices, schools, mosques, and other buildings. The role involves supervising maintenance activities, managing service teams and vendors, ensuring preventive maintenance, and maintaining a safe and functional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily maintenance activities across assigned facilities.
- Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, civil, and other building systems.
- Plan and monitor preventive maintenance schedules to minimize breakdowns.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Coordinate repair works and ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues.
- Manage maintenance technicians, cleaners, security support teams, and external service providers as required.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, service reports, and asset details.
- Monitor facility equipment performance and arrange timely repairs.
- Coordinate with vendors for maintenance contracts, quotations, and service visits.
- Ensure proper maintenance of lighting systems, water supply, generators, air conditioning, elevators, and other utilities.
- Support renovation, modification, and facility improvement projects.
- Maintain inventory of tools, spare parts, and maintenance materials.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and institutional policies.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requirements and breakdown situations.
- Prepare periodic maintenance reports for management review.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field.
- Relevant technical certification is an advantage.
Experience
- 3–7 years of experience in facility maintenance or building operations.
- Experience managing maintenance activities in offices, schools, commercial buildings, or large institutions is preferred.
- Experience supervising technicians and coordinating vendors.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
- Understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and facility operations.
- Ability to troubleshoot common maintenance issues.
- Familiarity with maintenance records and reporting.
