About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Production Manager to lead our manufacturing floor. In this role, you will direct and oversee a team of Production Associates responsible for machine operation, packing, material handling, and quality inspection. Your primary objective will be to ensure production targets are met efficiently while strictly enforcing safety protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Direct, train, and schedule Production Associates to efficiently execute daily manufacturing, packing, and labeling tasks.
- Line Operations: Manage high-speed production and packaging lines to maximize equipment uptime and consistently hit daily output targets.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce 100% adherence to workplace safety guidelines, food safety SOPs, and mandatory PPE usage.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor output closely, resolving packaging or processing defects immediately to maintain strict product integrity.
- Material Coordination: Oversee smooth material workflow, ensuring safe and accurate handling of raw materials and finished goods.
- Performance Reporting: Track daily production logs, analyze operational bottlenecks, and report key metrics to management.
- Facility Hygiene: Maintain rigorous cleanliness and sanitation standards across the entire production floor.
Important Skills & Qualifications
- General Experience: 3+ years of supervisory experience within a fast-paced FMCG, food processing, or pet food manufacturing environment.
- Ground Floor Experience: Extensive hands-on, shop-floor experience; you must be comfortable leading from the floor rather than behind a desk.
- Empathetic Leadership: A strong, empathetic leader who can connect with, motivate, and manage blue-collar workers and associates with fairness and respect.
- Problem Solver: Highly analytical and quick to troubleshoot equipment bottlenecks, workflow issues, or daily production challenges.
- Detail-Oriented: A sharp eye for maintaining strict quality control, spotting defects, and upholding rigorous safety and hygiene standards.
