Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled AS400 Synon (CA 2E) Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in IBM iSeries (AS400) systems and hands-on experience with Synon for application development, maintenance, and enhancement.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain applications using Synon (CA 2E) on AS400.Perform coding, debugging, and unit testing of RPG, SQL and CL programs.Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes.Optimize and modernize legacy applications.Ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices.Provide support for existing applications, utilizing tracking and incident management tools such as Jira and ServiceNow.
Skill Requirements
Strong proficiency in Synon (CA 2E), RPG/400, RPGLE, SQL, CL/400.
Experience with DB2/400 and query tools like WRKQRY.
Familiarity with PNC Insurance Domain.
Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC).Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Other Requirements
1.AS400 Certified Systems Administrator (ASCSA) or AS400 Certified Application Developer (ASCAD) preferred.
