Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English Literature (B.A./M.A.) preferred.
- B.Ed. with English specialization preferred.
- Strong command of written and spoken English.
Experience
- 3 to 5 years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in a CBSE school.
- Experience in teaching English to middle school students (Grades 6–8).
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons as per the CBSE curriculum.
- Teach grammar, literature, reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessment materials.
- Conduct regular tests, assessments, and evaluate student performance.
- Encourage reading habits, creative writing, communication, and language development.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
- Provide individual support and remedial teaching to students when required.
- Participate in school activities, meetings, parent-teacher meetings, and academic events.
- Maintain student records and complete academic documentation on time.
- Collaborate with other teachers and contribute to the overall development of students.
