Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Management, or an equivalent qualification.
- Additional certification in Supply Chain, Inventory Management, or Warehouse Operations will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 9-10 years of relevant experience in warehouse and store operations, preferably in a manufacturing, engineering, retail, or hospitality environment.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Good understanding of Stores, Inventory Management, and basic Procurement processes.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, or Oracle or similar).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, and Word.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Resourceful, self-driven, proactive, transparent, and capable of working independently.
- Meticulous, hardworking, and committed to maintaining accuracy.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and the local language.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Store Operations
- Supervise day-to-day store operations and ensure effective control of inventory.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels by implementing Purchase Requisitions (PRs) for Min/Max items when stock reaches the minimum level.
- Ensure proper receipt, unloading, unpacking, MRP verification, inspection, and acknowledgement of materials received from vendors.
- Ensure timely and accurate posting of all inventory transactions in the ERP system, including GRN, MRN, material returns, and stock adjustments.
- Issue materials only against approved Material Requisition Notes (MRNs) and maintain proper documentation.
Inventory Control
- Conduct periodic physical inventory verification as per the ABC classification:
- Investigate and report inventory variances, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) methodology is followed for shelf-life and perishable materials.
- Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory and recommend disposal or liquidation plans.
Documentation & Logistics
- Prepare documentation for material movements, including:
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
Month-End Activities
- Complete all inventory transactions and pending documentation before monthly closing.
- Support finance during month-end and year-end inventory reconciliation.
- Ensure timely submission of inventory reports and MIS.
Asset & Scrap Management
- Maintain proper records and control of tools, equipment, and consumables.
- Manage scrap generation, storage, disposal, and documentation in accordance with company procedures.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure adherence to company SOPs, safety standards, and audit requirements.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate records and documentation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
