BIW Designer JD (Location: Bangalore):
Experience : 4-7 Years in BIW
Key Skills : BIW Design is a Must, Automotive BIW, Platform Engineering, UG NX
CAD : UG NX is must,
RESPOSIBILITIES:
- Design & Development of BIW (Body-in-White)
- Expert in UG NX Surface Modelling and workbenches including and not limited to Part, Assembly and Drawing and a quick learner
- Provide support to the new product development with 1st-time-right mentality
- Able to create conceptual class "A" surface from point clouds, surfaces, master sections.
- Design parametric components and systems wrt manufacturability, tooling feasibility and assembly
- Using CAD design & develop BIW panels for the automotive industry which meet legal, customer, and internal requirements
- Understands and applies welding technologies, stamping die principles and limitations, Casting and machining principles
- Ability to interpret CAE Results: Formability, Structural and Weld Integrity
- Participate in CFT and Design Reviews, Review drawings, Analyze tooling, and recommend improvements leading to increased productivity, quality, etc.
- Practices proper Modelling techniques which allow part/assembly to be easily modified
- Awareness of Structural and other testing requirement.
- Knowledge of GD&T and its implications, Good in creating component/assembly drawings etc.
- Independently prioritizes the completion of tasks and resolution of issues to ensure compliance to program deliverables
- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and work in a Just In Time Manner while achieving deadlines under Pressure
- Other duties as assigned by Immediate Supervisor
- Candidate will be placed in Bangalore.
