Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with expertise in India-specific financial regulations. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with Indian tax laws such as GST and TDS, and supporting the overall financial health of the company. This role is crucial in maintaining our financial integrity and ensuring that our financial practices are in line with Indian statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with accounting standards.
- GST Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate calculation, filing, and payment of Goods and Services Tax (GST), including handling GST returns, reconciliations, and addressing any GST-related queries.
- TDS Management: Oversee Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) compliance, including accurate deduction, timely payment, and filing of TDS returns.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections, and reconciling any discrepancies.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all Indian tax regulations, including income tax, GST, TDS, and other applicable laws, and liaise with tax authorities as required.
- Audit Support: Prepare and provide documentation for internal and external audits, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up to date.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular bank and account reconciliations, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
- Cost Control: Monitor and analyze costs, identifying areas for efficiency improvements and cost savings.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on changes in Indian financial regulations and ensure the company’s financial practices comply with legal requirements.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas of improvement, providing recommendations to management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Work experience with CA is a plus.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with a strong understanding of Indian financial regulations, including GST, TDS, and income tax.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- In-depth understanding of GST, TDS, and other Indian tax laws.
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
