The Specialist within the Global Vendor Risk & Oversight (GVRO) function supports the enterprise Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) program by enabling strong governance, risk advisory, and oversight across the vendor lifecycle. This role plays a critical part in ensuring risk decisions are well-documented, consistent, and defensible while supporting program maturity, regulatory readiness, and scalable execution through global delivery teams.

The Specialist partners closely with GVRO leadership, business stakeholders, Control Partners, and global TPRM teams to help drive high-quality risk outcomes, effective escalation management, and continuous program improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Program Strategy & Maturity Support

Support enterprise TPRM program initiatives by tracking deliverables, maintaining action plans, and coordinating inputs.
Assist in program simplification and risk-based optimization efforts by analyzing control effectiveness, identifying low-value activities, and supporting dynamic scoping approaches.
Support rollout of TPRM policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring consistent documentation and evidence of implementation across regions.

2. Risk Advisory & Escalation Support

Provide operational support for the TPRM risk advisory function, including intake tracking, triage coordination, and preparation of advisory materials.
Maintain documentation and tracking for risk escalations, including residual risk concerns, failed due diligence outcomes, and material control gaps.
Support risk acceptance processes by compiling required artifacts and ensuring decisions are properly documented, consistent, and audit-ready.
Track and document contractual control gaps and remediation activities in collaboration with Legal, Procurement, and business stakeholders.

3. Governance, Reporting & Regulatory Readiness

Prepare materials and track actions for governance forums, including risk committees and Control Partner working groups.
Support audit and regulatory engagements by organizing evidence, maintaining response trackers, and coordinating stakeholder inputs.
Provide insights into risk posture, performance, and trends through TPRM metrics, dashboards, and reporting.
Analyze data to identify emerging third-party risk themes and support proactive risk management.

4. Program Quality & Lifecycle Oversight

Support oversight of Tier 2–4 vendor lifecycle activities, including incident tracking, vendor terminations, and non-compliance management.
Assist in independent quality assurance (QA) reviews and deep-dive assessments to evaluate risk ratings, due diligence quality, and consistency of outcomes.
Support independent challenge activities by reviewing outputs from execution teams and documenting observations for GVRO leadership.

5. Capability Building & Stakeholder Enablement

Support development and delivery of TPRM training, communications, and change management initiatives for business and risk stakeholders.
Assist in translating regulatory expectations and policy changes into clear, actionable guidance for stakeholders.
Serve as a point of contact to ensure strong collaboration across GVRO, business teams, and control functions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business, Technology, Operations, or a related field.
2-5 years of experience in one or more of: third-party risk, operational risk, audit, compliance, or vendor management.
Strong understanding of vendor lifecycle processes.
Comfort working in global, matrixed environments with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

Skills and Competencies

Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills; ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights.
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to create executive-ready narratives and governance materials.
High attention to detail, strong organizational discipline, and ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.
Fluent in AI-enabled environments, using approved tools responsibly to improve throughput, accuracy, and insight while adhering to Prudential’s risk and governance standards. At a minimum, all GSP employees should be able to leverage AI tools to draft, extract, validate, and optimize content that is applicable to their respective function and utilize AI tools to consistently create new content, innovation, and idea generation.
