We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Engineer specializing in Static Equipment to join our team in Vadodara. The successful candidate will be responsible for the mechanical design, analysis, and specification of various static equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, columns, and reactors, ensuring compliance with international codes, standards, and project specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, material science, and fabrication processes to deliver robust and cost-effective designs.
- Perform detailed mechanical design calculations for static equipment including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and columns, adhering to international codes such as ASME Section VIII Div. 1 & 2, TEMA, API 650, API 620, and other relevant industry standards.
- Prepare comprehensive technical specifications, data sheets, and material requisitions for static equipment.
- Develop and review engineering drawings including General Arrangement (GA) drawings, fabrication drawings, and detail drawings using CAD software.
- Conduct stress analysis and fitness-for-service assessments for existing and new equipment.
- Utilize specialized design software such as PV Elite, Compress, HTRI, and AutoCAD for design and analysis tasks.
- Collaborate closely with process, piping, civil, and instrumentation teams to ensure seamless integration of equipment designs within overall project layouts.
- Review vendor proposals, technical documents, and drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements and specifications.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZOP studies, and other technical meetings to ensure design integrity and safety.
- Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases of projects.
- Identify and implement design optimizations to improve performance, reduce costs, and enhance manufacturability.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, new technologies, and regulatory requirements related to static equipment design.
- Prepare and manage engineering change requests and deviations as necessary.
