About the Role
WebBee Global is looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable SaaS integration applications. The role involves building high-performance backend services, developing APIs, troubleshooting production issues, and working on complex e-commerce integration workflows.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, databases, and enterprise application development. This is an individual contributor role with technical ownership and mentoring responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build scalable REST APIs and integration workflows.
- Develop solutions for order, inventory, fulfilment, tracking, and product data processing.
- Integrate with third-party platforms using REST/SOAP APIs.
- Handle API authentication, webhooks, retries, rate limits, and failure recovery.
- Troubleshoot production issues using logs, databases, and monitoring tools.
- Optimize SQL queries, database performance, and application scalability.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design decisions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
- Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices.
Required Skills
- 6–8 years of experience in Java backend development.
- Strong knowledge of Java 8 or later.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Hibernate.
- Strong understanding of REST API development and integrations.
- Experience with MySQL and complex SQL query optimization.
- Good understanding of OOP concepts, design patterns, multithreading, and concurrency.
- Experience with Maven/Gradle, Git, JUnit, and Mockito.
- Understanding of microservices or service-oriented architecture.
- Strong debugging and production troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working with high-volume transactional applications.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SaaS products or e-commerce platforms.
- Experience integrating with Amazon, Shopify, TikTok Shop, NetSuite, ERP, or marketplace systems.
- Knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, SQS, Lambda, CloudWatch).
- Experience with Redis, message queues, Docker, and CI/CD tools.
- Familiarity with Linux production environments.
- Understanding of API security and performance optimization.
