Position Title: Senior Facilitator & Counsellor

Role Overview
This position is for a professional who believes that every person has vast potential
and empathetic guidance can help achieve the potential. The role is essentially of
mentoring children. The person will work closely with adolescents and young adults in
class V and above in ‘SOFKIN Homes’ to support their holistic development. The role
focuses on building life skills, providing psycho-social support, and guiding students
toward informed education and career pathways. The Senior Facilitator cum
counsellor will, along with a counsellor, mentor each child and play a key role in
nurturing confidence, self-belief, and future readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate high quality Life Skills sessions for students of Classes V–XII and college
students, focusing on confidence building, communication, teamwork, and self-
awareness.
- Provide Psycho-Social Counselling to support students’ emotional, behavioral, and
academic well-being.
- Conduct Career Orientation sessions for students of Classes VIII–IX.
- Deliver Career Guidance workshops for students of Classes X–XII to help them make
informed career and education choices.
- Support Class XII students in identifying suitable colleges, scholarships, vocational
courses, and employment pathways, including assistance with applications,
documentation, and interview preparation.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage project activities in alignment with project objectives.
- Maintain accurate records, progress reports, case notes, and follow-up
documentation.
- Collaborate closely with school staff and project stakeholders to ensure effective
implementation.
- Assess & track student progress to ensure each intervention delivers expected
outcomes.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with high levels of empathy and
patience.
- Mentoring and motivational skills
- Ability to engage diverse learners and build trusting relationships with students.
- Comfortable in conducting group sessions as well as one-on-one counselling.
- Proficiency in English and Telugu and reading & writing skills in basic Hindi needed.
- Maintaining training, progress reports, and documentation as per organizational
requirements
- Basic computer skills for report writing and documentation
- Commitment to principles of equity, dignity, and inclusive education.
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or a related
field.
- Prior experience working with adolescents or young adults in counselling, teaching,
facilitation, or youth development is necessary

Pay: ₹20,477.03 - ₹38,468.43 per month
