Role Summary
The CAD Designer cum Production Incharge is responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings and designs, and for overseeing shop-floor production to ensure designs are converted into finished products efficiently, on time, and within quality standards. This is a dual role combining design/drafting expertise with hands-on production management.
Key Responsibilities
CAD Design
- Create 2D/3D drawings, models, and layouts using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar).
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs), part drawings, assembly drawings, and technical specifications.
- Modify existing designs based on client requirements, feedback, or engineering changes.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards, tolerances, and manufacturability.
- Coordinate with sales and clients to convert requirements into technical drawings.
- Maintain a proper drawing library and revision-control system.
Production Management
- Plan and schedule daily/weekly production based on order priority and capacity.
- Supervise shop-floor operations, machine operators, and production staff.
- Ensure production is carried out as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor material consumption, wastage, and raw-material inventory.
- Conduct quality checks at various production stages and coordinate with the QC team.
- Troubleshoot production issues, machine downtime, and process bottlenecks.
- Maintain production reports, output records, and delivery timelines.
- Ensure safety protocols and housekeeping (5S) are followed on the shop floor.
- Coordinate with procurement for timely availability of raw materials and consumables.
- Act as the link between the design team and production team to resolve manufacturability issues.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
