Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) has an opening for a Associate Engineer - Mechanical in the Aerospace Business. This position will be based in Pune, India.
The primary responsibility of this role is to drive the product design and development for Aerospace new / existing products to meet product requirements including safety, reliability, and conformance to standards.
- Perform concept design, detailed design engineering using CAD platforms such as Creo 7.0 / Solidworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam etc.
- Design new products, modify existing designs, design calculations, GD&T & Tolerance stake up analysis, DFMEA, DFMA (Design for manufacturability & assembly), Risk Management & DVPR improve production techniques, and develop test procedures.
- Researches and analyzes data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
- Interact with global cross functional teams.
- Understanding of Aerospace standards such as MIL-P-8564D, NASA-STD-6016, DO-178, DO-254,MIL-STD-810, SAE ARP 4754/4761 etc"
"The candidate in this position will be responsible for:
- Mechanical product design and development, prepare technical design details & drawings in compliance to drawing standards as per Aerospace standards and prevailing engineering practices.
- Learn and deploy DFSS concepts / tools such as PDSC, P-Diagram, DFMEA, Risk Management & DVPR for new product development &/or existing product improvements
- Concept design, creation of 3D models and drawings of the new product designs and modification of existing product drawings and models.
- Person should be proficient in CAD tools such as Pro/E Creo, Solid works, AutoCAD, assembly, detailing to prepare CAD models and complete detailed design/drawings.
- Person should have good understanding of design guidelines standards related to Aerospace such as MIL-STD, SAE, RTCA DO-160, ASME Y14/ANSI Y14.
- Person must be proficient and should be able to perform GD&T, tolerance stack-up and engineering calculations as required supporting design integrity.
- Should have good understanding of DFMA (Design for manufacturability & assembly), utilizes understanding of manufacturing processes to improve new and existing designs & acts as a technical resource for internal / external customers and resolves technical challenges
- Maintain credible communication practice with stakeholders on technical clarifications, testing & resolving of field failures
- Maintain effective communications both verbal & written with customer, team members and cross functional departments
- Be an active professional in continuous learning resulting enhancement in organizational objectives
- Performs quality checks to ensure design meet Eaton and customer standards / requirements
- Utilize the Enovia PLM system for documentation control and workflow to release the drawings.
- Should have experience of working with Aerospace Products & Standards
- Ensure right quality and on time delivery of drawings & engineering documents.
