Job Description
The IT Administrator will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting all technology systems across the school. This includes computer hardware, software, networking infrastructure, CCTV systems, UPS units, digital boards, and other related IT equipment. The candidate must have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to provide timely support to staff and students.
Key Responsibilities1. Hardware & Software Management
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and related peripherals.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
- Perform regular system updates, software upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all IT assets.
2. Networking
- Manage and monitor the school’s LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi networks, and internet connectivity.
- Troubleshoot network failures and ensure minimal downtime.
- Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
- Ensure network security and implement best practices.
3. CCTV & Security Systems
- Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of all CCTV cameras and recording systems.
- Monitor system performance and ensure continuous recording and backup.
- Coordinate with vendors for repairs and upgrades when required.
4. Digital Boards & Classroom Technology
- Install, configure, and maintain smart boards, projectors, and digital learning devices.
- Provide technical support during classes and school events.
- Train teachers and staff on the proper use of digital equipment.
5. UPS & Power Backup Systems
- Monitor and maintain UPS systems and ensure stable power supply for IT equipment.
- Conduct periodic testing and ensure timely replacement of batteries and components.
6. User Support & Training
- Provide technical support to staff and students for IT-related issues.
- Conduct training sessions for new software, devices, or system updates.
- Ensure prompt resolution of IT tickets and maintain logs of issues.
7. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain documentation for systems, network configurations, licenses, and warranties.
- Ensure compliance with school IT policies, data protection, and cybersecurity standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of hardware troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.).
- Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
- Experience in managing CCTV systems, smart boards, UPS units, and other school technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and a service-oriented attitude.
Preferred Experience
- 2–3 years of experience as an IT Administrator, IT Support Engineer, or similar role.
- Experience working in an educational institution is an added advantage.
Working Conditions
- Full-time, on-site position.
- May require occasional after-hours work during system maintenance or school events.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
