Job Summary
The Assistant Technician will support the Forklift Technician in the inspection, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of forklifts and other material handling equipment (MHE). The role requires basic mechanical and electrical knowledge and a willingness to learn technical skills related to forklift servicing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preventive maintenance and breakdown repair of forklifts.
- Support technicians in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
- Perform routine inspections and servicing of forklifts.
- Help replace spare parts such as filters, batteries, tires, hoses, and other components.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workshop cleanliness.
- Record service activities and maintenance reports.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies while working on equipment.
- Assist in loading, unloading, and movement of equipment when required.
- Coordinate with customers and supervisors during service visits.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned maintenance tasks.
Required Qualifications
- ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical, or related trade.
- 0–1 years of experience in forklift, automobile, or equipment maintenance.
- Freshers with technical qualifications may also apply.
Skills Required
- Basic knowledge of diesel, electric, and battery-operated forklifts.
- Understanding of hydraulic systems and mechanical components.
- Ability to use hand tools and workshop equipment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel for service calls if required.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
