Key Responsibilities:Patient Care
- Receive and prepare patients for PET CT examinations.
- Explain procedures and obtain relevant medical history.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions following radiopharmaceutical administration.
- Verify patient identity and examination requests before procedures.
PET CT Imaging Procedures
- Perform PET CT scans as per physician protocols.
- Position patients accurately to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals as prescribed and authorized.
- Operate PET CT equipment efficiently and safely.
- Conduct image acquisition, reconstruction, and processing.
Radiation Safety
- Adhere to all radiation protection and safety regulations.
- Handle, store, and dispose of radioactive materials according to statutory guidelines.
- Monitor radiation exposure levels using personal dosimeters.
- Maintain compliance with AERB and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Equipment Maintenance
- Perform daily quality control checks on PET CT equipment.
- Report equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and calibration activities.
- Maintain records of equipment performance and quality assurance tests.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
- Ensure proper recording of radiopharmaceutical usage and inventory.
- Assist physicians in image review and data management.
- Prepare and submit departmental reports as required.
Infection Control & Quality Assurance
- Follow hospital infection control protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to NABH and hospital quality standards.
Qualifications:
- B.Sc. in Medical Imaging Technology / Radiology Technology / Nuclear Medicine Technology.
- Diploma or Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology preferred.
- Certification as per local regulatory requirements.
Experience:
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in PET CT imaging.
- Freshers with specialized PET CT training may also be considered.
- Experience in Oncology PET CT procedures is preferred.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of PET CT imaging principles and protocols.
- Understanding of radiation safety and radioactive material handling.
- Proficiency in operating PET CT scanners and image processing software.
- Strong patient care and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Working Conditions:
- Rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
- Exposure to radiation environments with appropriate safety measures.
- Compliance with hospital safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
