A Junior Mechanical Design Engineer assists in the design, development, testing, and improvement of mechanical components and systems. The role involves creating CAD models, preparing technical drawings, supporting senior engineers, and ensuring designs meet engineering standards and project requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in designing mechanical components and assemblies
- Create and modify 2D drawings and 3D CAD models
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation
- Perform basic engineering calculations and analysis
- Coordinate with manufacturing and quality teams
- Follow engineering standards, safety rules, and project timelines
Technical Skills
- AutoCAD / SolidWorks
- Basics of GD&T
- Engineering drawings & tolerances
- MS Excel & documentation
Qualification
- B.E / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- 3–5+ years of mechanical design experience (product / machine )
