- Technical Drafting: Develop detailed blueprints, shop drawings, and CAD models with precise dimensions, tolerances, and hardware specifications.
- Material Selection: Choose appropriate wood species (e.g., teak, oak, walnut), veneers, and finishes that balance aesthetics, durability, and budget.
- Manufacturing Optimization: Ensure designs are structurally sound and cost-effective to manufacture. For CNC-focused roles, this includes writing or verifying CNC toolpaths and relief designs.
- Collaboration: Partner with production managers, craftsmen, and CNC operators to translate design requirements into final products.
