Job Description - Staff Accountant Receivables
POSITION SUMMARY:Coordinates the overall functions of Insurance Billing, Cash Posting and File Maintenance under the direction of the Senior Financial Analyst. Must be able to perform jobs in all patient care and operational areas subject to reasonable accommodations. This is a non-union position.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Ensures that accurate and timely billing is being done in accordance with established procedures. Reconciles statement with various insurance companies.
2. Keeps current regarding all reimbursement and billing procedures of third party and private insurance payers.
3. Implements appropriate billing procedures, ensuring that accounts receivable records are kept in accordance with established procedures.
4. Addresses patient account issues.
5. Reviews patient accounts for reimbursement accuracy.
6. Maintains appropriate internal controls over accounts receivable functions.
7. Monitors activities with insurance companies, Admitting, Medical Records, Information Systems, Credit & Collections.
8. Ensures that all staff members routinely utilize policy and procedure manuals and other available reference material as necessary to ensure proper course of action.
9. Establishes and enforces appropriate procedures for billing, follow-up and collection on overdue accounts and implements corrective action as necessary.
10. Performs all tasks demonstrating service excellence to both staff and customers.
11. Demonstrates, supports, and models the mission, vision, values and code of conduct for Dameron Hospital Association.
12. Communicates appropriately and effectively to support the department mission
13. Assist Senior Financial Analyst in month end close process and preparing Journal Entries
14. Maintains awareness and participates in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) to ensure a safe patient environment.
Qualifications Education:
BCOM/MCOM/CA-Inter/MBA
Experience: 1-5 years experience
- 5 days working(Sat-Sun Off)
- Night Shift(9:00PM to 6:00AM)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
