Job Summary
The TGT Physics Associate Teacher supports the Lead Physics Teacher in delivering high-quality instruction to students of Grades VI–X in accordance with the CBSE curriculum. The role involves assisting in lesson planning, conducting practical activities, supporting classroom management, assessing student performance, and fostering scientific inquiry and critical thinking among students.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Teacher in planning and delivering Physics lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum.
- Support classroom instruction using interactive, activity-based, and technology-enabled teaching methods.
- Prepare teaching aids, presentations, worksheets, laboratory manuals, and assessment materials.
- Assist in conducting Physics laboratory experiments while ensuring adherence to laboratory safety procedures.
- Provide academic support to individual students and small groups, including remedial and enrichment sessions.
- Help evaluate assignments, projects, practical work, unit tests, and examinations, and maintain accurate student records.
- Encourage scientific thinking, problem-solving, innovation, and participation in science exhibitions, Olympiads, and STEM activities.
- Maintain discipline and create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Supervise students during school activities, examinations, laboratory sessions, field visits, and co-curricular events.
- Collaborate with teachers, coordinators, and parents to support students' academic and personal development.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development programs, workshops, and school events.
- Comply with CBSE guidelines, school policies, child safeguarding practices, and academic standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physics or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from a recognized institution.
- CTET or State TET qualification is preferred, where applicable.
- Prior teaching experience in a CBSE school is desirable.
