Position Summary
Wireframe Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Checker to serve as the final checkpoint before project deliverables are released to the client. This role is responsible for reviewing completed drawings and related documents for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project requirements.
The ideal candidate has strong experience reviewing shop drawings or fabrication-related deliverables, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal and external teams to resolve issues before release.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform final review of drawings and project deliverables before submission to the client
- Check for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and readiness for release
- Identify errors, missing information, and coordination issues across documents
- Work with detailers, fabricators, project coordinators, and other teams to resolve comments and discrepancies
- Ensure deliverables meet client requirements, project standards, and release expectations
- Act as a quality gatekeeper to reduce revisions, rework, and client-facing issues
- Track review comments and confirm corrections are completed prior to release
- Support smooth coordination between teams throughout the review process
- Help maintain and improve internal checking and release procedures
Qualifications
- Strong experience in checking shop drawings, fabrication drawings, or related construction/project deliverables
- Solid understanding of drawing review processes, release workflows, and quality control
- Ability to identify inconsistencies, omissions, and coordination issues before client submission
- Experience working with fabricators and cross-functional project teams
- Strong communication and follow-up skills
- Excellent attention to detail and sense of accountability
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in structural steel, miscellaneous metals, or fabrication-related industries
- Familiarity with client submittal standards and approval workflows
- Leadership experience or ability to guide team members through review corrections
- Proficiency in reviewing drawings using relevant software and markup tools
