We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Electrical Engineer to manage and supervise electrical infrastructure projects involving HT/LT cable laying, trenchless technology, HDD works, and underground utility projects. The candidate should possess strong technical knowledge along with excellent coordination and liaisoning skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise execution of HT & LT underground cable laying works through both Open Trench and Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD)/Trenchless Technology methods.
- Plan, monitor, and execute RMU (Ring Main Unit), Transformer, Feeder Pillar, Jointing Pit, and associated electrical infrastructure installation works.
- Coordinate with government departments, utility authorities, consultants, clients, and inspection agencies for approvals, permissions, and project execution.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely execution of work.
- Monitor site activities, manpower, equipment, and materials to ensure quality, safety, and project timelines.
- Prepare and verify RA Bills, subcontractor bills, measurements, and work progress reports.
- Maintain project documentation, DPRs, site records, BOQs, and daily progress reports.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers and head office for technical and commercial matters.
- Attend site meetings, inspections, and client review meetings.
Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in electrical infrastructure or utility projects.
- Hands-on experience in HT & LT Cable Laying Projects.
- Good knowledge of Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD), Trenchless Technology, and Open Trench cable laying.
- Experience in installation, testing, and commissioning of RMUs, Transformers, HT/LT Panels, and associated electrical systems.
- Experience in department liaisoning, statutory approvals, and coordination with utility agencies.
- Knowledge of billing, measurement books (MB), BOQ interpretation, subcontractor billing, and quantity verification.
- Ability to supervise multiple work fronts and manage subcontractors effectively.
- Good communication, documentation, and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and basic project documentation software.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in underground electrical distribution projects for Government Departments, DISCOMs, Smart City, Metro, Industrial, or Infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of relevant IS Standards, CPWD specifications, and utility construction practices.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and project reporting software.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and leadership abilities.
- Willingness to travel and work at project sites across Goa.
