Job Summary
GTBL is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated R&D Chemists – Synthesis to join its Research & Development team. The selected candidates will be responsible for carrying out laboratory-scale synthesis of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and pharmaceutical intermediates, supporting process development, maintaining accurate experimental records, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory synthesis of APIs and pharmaceutical intermediates according to project requirements.
- Execute chemical reactions, purification, isolation, and characterization of synthesized compounds.
- Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks and experimental documentation in accordance with GLP practices.
- Assist in process development, optimization, and scale-up activities.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper usage of chemicals and instruments.
- Coordinate with analytical and cross-functional teams for sample analysis and project execution.
- Follow laboratory safety procedures, EHS guidelines, and company SOPs.
- Prepare technical reports, summarize experimental results, and present findings to the reporting manager.
Qualification
- M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry (preferred) or M.Sc. in Chemistry from a recognized university.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in API Synthesis within a pharmaceutical R&D environment.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of organic synthesis and reaction mechanisms.
- Hands-on experience in multi-step organic synthesis and purification techniques.
- Knowledge of analytical techniques such as TLC, HPLC, GC, and NMR.
- Good documentation practices and familiarity with GLP/GMP requirements.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a team.
Pay: ₹180,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
