Job Purpose:
The Assistant Professor will deliver high-quality education in Python programming and Internet of Things (IoT) architectures. The ideal candidate will combine academic theory with practical, hands-on lab experiences, while actively contributing to institutional research, student mentorship, and departmental growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Academic Instruction: Deliver lectures, design syllabi, and conduct practical lab sessions in Python, Embedded Systems, Microcontrollers (Raspberry Pi/Arduino), and Sensor Networks.
- Curriculum Development: Update course frameworks to include industry-relevant topics like IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP), Edge Computing, and modern Python libraries.
- Research & Publications: Conduct active research, secure external grants, and publish papers in peer-reviewed journals on domains like AIoT, Smart Automation, and Industrial IoT (IIoT).
- Student Mentorship: Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate capstone projects, coding clubs, and hackathons centered on hardware-software integration.
- Institutional Service: Participate in departmental committees, NAAC/NBA accreditation processes, admissions, and industry-institute partnerships.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electronics & Communication Engineering with a specialization in IoT.
- Eligibility: Cleared NET / SET exams (where applicable by regional university regulations).
- Programming Skills: Advanced proficiency in Python (OOPs, NumPy, Pandas, Flask/FastAPI) and C/C++ for embedded systems.
- Hardware & Systems: Hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, GPIO programming, and communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART).
- Networking & Cloud: Strong understanding of wireless standards (Wi-Fi, BLE, LoRaWAN) and cloud ecosystems (AWS IoT, Azure IoT, or ThinkSpeak).
Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
