Job Title: Service Technician (Electric Vehicle)
Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and technically skilled Service Technician to join our EV service team. The technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining electric vehicles while ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform periodic maintenance and servicing of electric vehicles as per company guidelines.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software-related issues.
- Carry out repairs and replacement of vehicle components, including suspension, brakes, steering, body parts, and electrical systems.
- Perform diagnostic scans and accurately identify fault codes.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines while working on high-voltage electric vehicles.
- Update job cards with accurate diagnosis, repairs carried out, and parts used.
- Conduct pre-delivery inspection (PDI) and quality checks before vehicle delivery.
- Attend roadside assistance (RSA) and home service calls whenever required.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of workshop tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Coordinate with the Service Advisor and Technical Support team for complex technical issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Complete assigned jobs within the standard turnaround time while maintaining quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- ITI/Diploma in Automobile, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related technical field.
- Experience in automobile or electric vehicle servicing is preferred.
- Freshers with relevant technical qualifications and a willingness to learn may also apply.
Required Skills
- Good understanding of automobile systems and EV technology.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and service equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills for updating service records.
- Good communication and teamwork.
- Willingness to travel for customer home service and roadside assistance when required.
