Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused field service engineer to provide installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and technical support for Fujifilm Computed Radiography (CR) and Digital Radiography (DR) systems.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in servicing medical imaging equipment and be comfortable working at hospitals, diagnostic centers, and radiology clinics.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and configure Fujifilm CR and DR systems at customer locations.
- Perform preventive maintenance and breakdown service of CR/DR equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, image quality, and system-related issues.
- Attend customer service calls and ensure timely resolution of complaints.
- Carry out replacement and calibration of defective components as required.
- Perform system testing and ensure equipment is functioning according to specifications.
- Provide basic application support and user training to radiographers/radiologists when required.
- Coordinate with customers regarding service visits, equipment status, and technical requirements.
- Maintain accurate service reports, installation reports, preventive-maintenance reports, and spare-parts records.
- Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate technical/support team.
- Support AMC/CMC customers and ensure service commitments are met.
- Maintain good customer relationships and identify opportunities for additional service requirements.
- Follow company service procedures, safety guidelines, and documentation standards.
- Be willing to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Biomedical, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline.
- 1–5 years of experience in medical equipment field service is preferred.
- Experience with CR/DR, X-ray, medical imaging, radiology, or diagnostic equipment will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of basic electronics, electrical systems, networking, and computer hardware/software.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of LAN, TCP/IP, DICOM, PACS/RIS, and medical imaging workflow is preferred.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls.
- Willingness to travel to hospitals, diagnostic centers, and clinics.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel locally/regionally.
