Role Summary
The Faculty – Software (Fashion Design) is responsible for delivering high-quality, industry-relevant instruction in fashion design software tools to undergraduate and postgraduate students. The role requires a blend of strong technical proficiency, creative industry awareness, and effective pedagogy.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on expertise in tools such as CLO 3D, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and other fashion-specific platforms, with a demonstrated ability to translate industry workflows into engaging, structured learning experiences. A minimum of 2 years of prior teaching experience in a design institution or professional training environment is required.
Key Responsibilities & Performance Indicators
Curriculum Delivery & Software Instruction
- Teach core and elective software courses including CLO 3D, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and related tools
- Develop and deliver structured lesson plans aligned to the academic calendar and learning outcomes
- Conduct hands-on studio sessions, digital labs, and project-based assignments
- Integrate current industry workflows and trends into classroom instruction
- Ensure progressive skill development from foundational to advanced software use
- ≥95% syllabus completion within scheduled timelines
- Student skill assessment scores meeting defined benchmarks
- Zero class cancellations due to unpreparedness
- Positive student feedback on instruction quality
Student Assessment & Feedback
- Design and evaluate assignments, projects, and practical assessments
- Provide timely, constructive feedback on student work
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance
- Identify students requiring additional support and implement intervention strategies
- Conduct mid-term and end-term reviews of student progress
- 100% timely submission of grades and assessment records
- Improvement in student performance metrics term-on-term
- Timely intervention for 100% of at-risk students identified
Curriculum Development & Innovation
- Contribute to the design and review of course content, syllabi, and learning resources
- Develop tutorials, reference guides, and supplementary digital learning materials
- Stay current with updates to fashion design software and incorporate new features into teaching
- Collaborate with industry professionals to ensure curriculum relevance
- Propose and pilot new modules or tools that enhance student capabilities
- At least one curriculum update or new resource developed per semester
- Positive Academic Head review of course materials
- Evidence of industry-aligned content updates
Lab & Resource Management
- Ensure digital labs and workstations are functional and appropriately set up for each session
- Coordinate with IT and operations for software licensing, updates, and troubleshooting
- Maintain a well-organized repository of student project files and class resources
- Report equipment or software issues promptly to the Campus Manager
- Zero session disruptions due to unresolved technical issues
- 100% software licensing compliance
- Organized and accessible digital resource repository maintained
Student Engagement & Mentorship
- Foster a creative and inclusive studio learning environment
- Mentor students on software-driven design projects, portfolio development, and industry readiness
- Encourage participation in competitions, exhibitions, and industry showcases
- Support students in applying digital skills to fashion collections and design briefs
- Student participation rate in events and showcases
- Portfolio quality and readiness metrics
- Student satisfaction scores ≥85%
Collaboration & Institutional Contribution
- Participate in faculty meetings, academic reviews, and professional development sessions
- Collaborate with other faculty members on interdisciplinary design projects
- Support admissions events, campus tours, and open days as needed
- Contribute to departmental goals and institutional accreditation processes
- Attendance at minimum one faculty meeting per month
- Active participation in at least one cross-disciplinary project per academic year
- Contribution to at least one institutional event per semester
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related discipline
- Formal training or certification in fashion design software (CLO 3D, Adobe Suite, etc.) preferred
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a design institution, university, or structured training environment
- Hands-on industry or studio experience in fashion design, garment construction, or digital fashion
- Demonstrable portfolio of software-based fashion design work
Technical Proficiency — Required
- CLO 3D – 3D garment simulation and virtual prototyping
- Adobe Illustrator – technical flat sketches, textile prints, and design layouts
- Adobe Photoshop – mood boards, surface design, and digital rendering
Technical Proficiency — Preferred / Added Advantage
- Browzwear VStitcher or similar 3D fashion platforms
- CorelDRAW for technical design and grading

Performance Review
The Faculty – Software (Fashion Design) will be evaluated on a semester and annual basis against the KPIs outlined above. Evaluations will be conducted by the Academic Head and will incorporate student feedback, peer reviews, course completion metrics, and contributions to departmental initiatives.
Faculty are expected to engage in at least one professional development activity per academic year to remain current with evolving tools and industry practices.
Pay: From ₹55,000.00 per month
