Job Description:
Job Purpose
The Product Management Manager – Solar Inverter will be responsible for defining and executing the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management of solar inverter products (primarily string inverters) across residential, C&I, and utility segments. The role requires close collaboration with engineering, sales, marketing, and service teams to ensure competitive, high-quality, and market-aligned products.
Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

Define product vision, roadmap, and portfolio strategy for solar inverter products

Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning

Drive product differentiation (efficiency, features, cost, reliability)
Product Lifecycle Management

Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for solar inverters—from concept, NPI, enhancements, and maturity management to phase-out.

Evaluate product performance, field issues, reliability improvements, and drive corrective actions.

Market Intelligence & Competitive Benchmarking
-
Track market trends, competitor portfolios, pricing benchmarks, and regulatory/policy developments.

Conduct competitive benchmarking, customer requirement analysis, and market intelligence to inform product roadmap decisions.

Identify technology trends, customer pain points, and emerging opportunities in the C&I and Distributed Energy segments.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with R&D, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to drive NPI, product enhancements, cost optimization, and manufacturing readiness.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

Participate in customer meetings, clarifications, and product demonstrations to ensure superior technical value delivery.

Technical Strategy & Documentation

Define and maintain product specifications, technical documentation, and competitive value propositions.

Support techno-commercial assessments for new opportunities and business cases.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in electrical / Electronics / Power Engineering (or related technical field).

7–12 years of experience in Solar Inverters, with background in Power Electronics and Distributed Energy Systems.

Experience in product strategy, benchmarking, technical marketing, and cross-functional program management.

Exposure to customer-facing technical engagements, NPI processes, and product performance management.

Exposure in hybrid solar or RE system.
