Job Summary
The TGT Sanskrit Teacher is responsible for teaching Sanskrit to middle and secondary school students in accordance with the prescribed curriculum. The teacher will develop students' language proficiency, grammar, literature, and communication skills while creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment. Candidates with experience in teaching Hindi will be preferred and may be assigned Hindi classes based on the school's academic requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning
- Plan and deliver effective Sanskrit lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
- Teach Sanskrit grammar, literature, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing skills.
- Teach Hindi classes, if assigned, as per the academic timetable.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, teaching aids, and assessment materials.
- Use interactive and activity-based teaching methodologies to enhance student engagement.
- Integrate digital tools and educational technology into classroom teaching where appropriate.
Student Assessment
- Conduct class tests, assignments, projects, and periodic assessments.
- Evaluate students' performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and academic progress.
- Identify students requiring additional academic support and conduct remedial classes when necessary.
Classroom Management
- Maintain discipline and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Encourage participation, creativity, and critical thinking among students.
- Foster respect for Indian languages, culture, and values.
Parent & School Engagement
- Attend Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) and discuss student progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues in planning academic and co-curricular activities.
- Participate in school functions, assemblies, competitions, and cultural events.
- Perform examination duties, invigilation, and evaluation as assigned.
Professional Responsibilities
- Complete the prescribed syllabus within the academic calendar.
- Participate in training programmes, workshops, and professional development activities.
- Follow school policies, child protection guidelines, and code of conduct.
- Maintain confidentiality of student records and academic information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with Sanskrit as a subject.
- B.Ed. from a recognized institution.
- CTET/STET qualification (preferred or as applicable).
- Additional qualification in Hindi will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience as a TGT Sanskrit Teacher in a recognized school.
- Experience in teaching Hindi at the middle or secondary level will be preferred.
- Familiarity with CBSE curriculum and assessment practices is desirable.
Pay: From ₹35,000.00 per month
