Job Summary
The Planning Engineer is responsible for preparing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure timely completion of civil construction projects. The role involves project planning, progress tracking, resource planning, delay analysis, and coordination with project teams to achieve project milestones within budget and schedule.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Scheduling
- Prepare detailed project schedules using Primavera P6/MS Project.
- Develop baseline programs, work breakdown structures (WBS), and project timelines.
- Establish project milestones and critical path activities.
- Coordinate with project teams for schedule development and updates.
Progress Monitoring
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly project progress.
- Track actual progress against planned schedules.
- Identify schedule deviations and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare progress reports and dashboard presentations for management.
Resource Planning
- Plan manpower, equipment, and material requirements based on project schedules.
- Coordinate with procurement and site teams to ensure resource availability.
- Monitor resource utilization and productivity.
Project Control
- Conduct critical path analysis and delay analysis.
- Evaluate project risks affecting schedule and productivity.
- Prepare recovery plans for delayed activities.
- Monitor project performance indicators and report variances.
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal departments.
- Attend project review meetings and present planning updates.
- Maintain project documentation, schedules, and progress records.
- Submit weekly and monthly MIS reports to management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 3–10 years of experience in planning and scheduling of civil construction projects.
- Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, infrastructure, or metro rail projects is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Primavera P6.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Project.
- Advanced Excel and project reporting skills.
- Understanding of construction methodologies and project control techniques.
- Knowledge of quantity surveying and project execution processes.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
