About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Logistics Operations professional to manage export shipments involving oversized, heavy-lift, and project cargo movements through air and ocean freight. The candidate should possess strong operational expertise in handling complex logistics requirements and coordinating end-to-end project shipments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end execution of Project Logistics export shipments via Air and Ocean freight.
- Handle specialized cargo movements including:
- Break Bulk Cargo
- Open Top Containers
- Flat Rack Containers
- Flat Bed Trailers
- Heavy Lift and Over-Dimensional Cargo (ODC)
- Out-of-Gauge (OOG) Shipments
- Coordinate with shipping lines, airlines, overseas agents, transporters, vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Plan and execute project cargo transportation while ensuring operational efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Arrange equipment and transportation suitable for cargo dimensions and weight requirements.
- Monitor shipment milestones and provide timely updates to customers and management.
- Ensure accurate documentation, customs compliance, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate loading, lashing, securing, and movement of oversized cargo.
- Resolve operational issues and implement corrective actions to avoid shipment delays.
- Maintain strong relationships with carriers, transport vendors, and service providers.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of Project Logistics and Freight Forwarding operations.
- Hands-on experience in handling Break Bulk, OOG, Open Top, Flat Rack, and Heavy Lift shipments.
- Good understanding of Air Export and Ocean Export operational processes.
- Knowledge of vessel schedules, routing, cargo planning, and transportation regulations.
- Ability to study cargo dimensions and determine suitable equipment for movement.
- Understanding of cargo securing, lashing, and handling requirements.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and freight forwarding operational systems.
Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Additional certifications in Logistics, or Freight Forwarding will be an added advantage.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Freight Forwarding or Project Logistics operations.
- Experience handling industrial, engineering, infrastructure, oil & gas, or project cargo shipments.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Strong customer service orientation and stakeholder management skills.
What We’re Looking For
Candidates with hands-on experience in Project Logistics, Freight Forwarding, Export Air & Sea, OOG/Oversized Cargo, Break Bulk, Open Top Containers, Flat Rack Containers, Heavy Lift, ODC, and project cargo operations .
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
