Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Hydraulics Engineer to design, develop, and test hydraulic systems and components. In this role, you will be responsible for creating efficient fluid power systems, troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic failures, and ensuring all designs meet industry safety and performance standards. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, expertise in CAD software, and a deep understanding of fluid mechanics.
Key Responsibilities
- System Design: Design and develop hydraulic circuits, systems, and components (valves, pumps, cylinders, and manifolds) using 3D CAD modeling and fluid simulation software.
- Testing & Validation: Set up, conduct, and analyze performance and endurance tests on hydraulic systems to validate design integrity and efficiency.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose fluid power system failures, identify root causes, and implement effective engineering solutions or modifications.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, manufacturing personnel, and project managers, to integrate hydraulic systems into larger machinery.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed engineering drawings, schematics, Bill of Materials (BOM), and technical manuals for production and clients.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASME) and company safety guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience: 2–5 years of proven experience in hydraulic system design or fluid power engineering.
- Technical Proficiency: * Expertise in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AUTO Cad).
- Familiarity with hydraulic simulation tools (e.g., Automation Studio, MATLAB/Simulink).
- Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and mechanical design principles.
- Certifications: Fluid Power Certification (IFPS) is a strong plus.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the capacity to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electro-hydraulic systems and integration with PLC controls.
- Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or workshop environment building and testing prototypes.
