Role Overview
As a Junior Accountant at RL Jewels, you will play a key role in managing daily financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy of records. You will assist in maintaining compliance with financial regulations while contributing to the smooth operation of the company’s accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounting and Record-Keeping:
- Record daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, and expenses.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date ledgers and accounting records.
- Invoice and Payment Processing:
- Generate and verify invoices for customer transactions.
- Process payments to vendors and handle bank reconciliations.
- GST and Tax Compliance:
- Assist in preparing GST returns and ensure timely filings.
- Support the preparation of TDS and other statutory requirements.
- Inventory and Scheme Management:
- Monitor and reconcile inventory records for the showroom and refinery units.
- Assist in recording and tracking customer deposits for gold-saving schemes.
- Financial Reporting:
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Provide data for internal audits and management reviews.
- Administrative Support:
- Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to streamline financial processes.
- Address customer queries related to payment receipts or scheme balances.
Qualifications and Skills
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally) and MS Excel.
- Familiarity with GST, TDS, and other Indian taxation regulations.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
