Key Responsibilities1. Teaching & Learning
- Plan and deliver effective Science lessons for Grades VI–X.
- Teach concepts in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as prescribed by the CBSE curriculum.
- Use activity-based, experiential, and inquiry-based teaching methodologies.
- Integrate ICT tools, smart boards, simulations, and digital resources into classroom teaching.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific reasoning.
2. Lesson Planning
- Prepare annual curriculum plans, unit plans, and weekly lesson plans.
- Develop engaging teaching-learning materials and worksheets.
- Align classroom instruction with learning outcomes and competency-based education.
- Ensure timely completion of the prescribed syllabus.
3. Assessment & Evaluation
- Prepare question papers, assignments, projects, and practical assessments.
- Conduct formative and summative assessments as per CBSE guidelines.
- Evaluate answer scripts and maintain accurate academic records.
- Analyze student performance and implement remedial measures where required.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
4. Laboratory Management
- Conduct science practicals safely and effectively.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, chemicals, and apparatus.
- Ensure adherence to laboratory safety norms.
- Prepare practical manuals and maintain laboratory records.
- Promote hands-on learning through experiments and demonstrations.
5. Classroom Management
- Maintain discipline and create a positive learning environment.
- Encourage participation, collaboration, and respectful classroom behavior.
- Promote inclusive education and student well-being.
6. Student Development
- Identify and support students with varying learning needs.
- Mentor students in academic and co-curricular activities.
- Encourage participation in science exhibitions, Olympiads, quizzes, and innovation projects.
- Develop scientific curiosity and environmental awareness.
7. Parent Communication
- Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs).
- Communicate students' academic progress and behavioral development.
- Address parent concerns professionally and promptly.
8. Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain attendance, assessment records, lesson plans, and student portfolios.
- Submit reports and documentation within prescribed timelines.
- Assist in school events, examinations, admissions, and other academic activities.
- Perform duties assigned by the school administration.
9. Professional Development
- Participate in workshops, training programs, and professional learning communities.
- Stay updated with CBSE guidelines, NEP 2020, and emerging teaching practices.
- Implement innovative pedagogical strategies in the classroom.
10. Co-curricular Responsibilities
- Organize science fairs, exhibitions, field visits, and STEM activities.
- Guide students in research projects and innovation challenges.
- Assist in school assemblies, competitions, and club activities.
- Support environmental and sustainability initiatives within the school.
