The MEP Planning & Estimation Engineer is responsible for planning, scheduling, estimating, and monitoring Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects. The role involves preparing project schedules, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, resource planning, tender submissions, and progress tracking to ensure successful project delivery within budget and timeline.
- Prepare detailed project schedules and baseline programs using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
- Review MEP drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documents.
- Perform quantity take-offs for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, material requirements, labor calculations, and project budgets.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and project execution teams for effective project planning.
- Monitor project progress and identify schedule deviations and delays.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and recovery plans.
- Assist in tender preparation, bid evaluation, and cost comparison analysis.
- Track project costs, resource utilization, and productivity.
- Evaluate variations, change orders, and their impact on project cost and schedule.
- Support project managers in forecasting project completion and resource requirements.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, project specifications, and company standards.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in MEP planning and estimation.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, Electrical, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, and ELV systems.
- Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of quantity surveying, cost estimation, and project control techniques.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
