We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Area Sales Manager to lead our General Trade (GT) sales operations within a designated territory. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market share, and managing a team of sales representatives and distributors. This role requires a strong understanding of the GT channel, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of achieving ambitious sales targets.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets and objectives for the General Trade channel within the assigned area.
- Lead, motivate, train, and manage a team of sales executives and representatives, ensuring high performance and adherence to company policies.
- Identify and onboard new distributors and retailers to expand the company's distribution network and market reach in the GT segment.
- Manage existing distributor relationships, ensuring optimal stock levels, efficient order placement, timely deliveries, and effective trade marketing execution.
- Conduct regular market visits to monitor sales activities, assess market trends, competitor activities, and identify new business opportunities.
- Ensure effective product availability, visibility, and merchandising across all GT outlets in the territory.
- Analyze sales data, prepare forecasts, and generate reports on sales performance, market conditions, and competitor activities.
- Implement trade promotion schemes and marketing initiatives effectively to drive sales and brand awareness.
- Resolve customer and distributor issues promptly and professionally to maintain strong business relationships.
- Monitor and manage sales expenses within budget to ensure cost-effective operations.
- Provide regular feedback to the regional sales manager on market dynamics, product performance, and team development.
