Job Summary
We are seeking skilled and safety-conscious Technicians with ITI qualifications in Electrician / Fitter / Electronics Mechanic to operate and maintain Aerial Work Platforms (AWPs) including Spider Lifts, Boom Lifts, and Scissor Lifts at airport operations. The role involves safe equipment handling, routine maintenance, and supporting elevated work activities in compliance with aviation safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Operation
- Operate Spider Lifts, Boom Lifts, and Scissor Lifts safely for maintenance and operational tasks
- Perform pre-start inspections and ensure machine readiness before use
- Manoeuvre equipment in confined and high-security airport environments
- Adhere strictly to load limits, height restrictions, and operational guidelines
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Conduct routine checks on electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Identify faults and perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for major repairs and servicing
- Maintain equipment logs and service records
Technical Support
- Assist in electrical and mechanical maintenance activities at elevated heights
- Support installation, inspection, and repair of airport infrastructure systems
- Ensure proper use of tools and equipment as per safety standards
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all airport safety protocols and aviation regulations
- Use appropriate PPE (helmet, harness, gloves, safety shoes) at all times
- Ensure safe working practices at heights and during equipment operation
- Report hazards, near-misses, and incidents promptly
Documentation & Coordination
- Maintain daily operation checklists and reports
- Coordinate with supervisors and airport authorities for task execution
- Ensure timely reporting of work status and issues
Qualifications & Requirements
- ITI in Electrician / Fitter / Electronics Mechanic
- 2–3 years of experience in field of Maintenance
- Basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Ability to work at heights and in all 4 shifts (M/A/N/G)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Skills
- Basic understanding of safety compliance standards
