Job Summary
The Repair & Maintenance Executive is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning, repair, and preventive maintenance of machinery, equipment, utilities, and facility systems. The role involves minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
Key ResponsibilitiesEquipment Maintenance
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance for machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose faults and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and utility-related issues.
- Ensure timely repair of equipment to minimize production downtime.
- Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements.
Facility & Utility Maintenance
- Maintain facility utilities such as HVAC, compressors, generators, electrical panels, plumbing, and water systems.
- Ensure proper functioning of lighting, safety systems, and building infrastructure.
- Coordinate maintenance activities for plant and office facilities.
Preventive Maintenance
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules.
- Maintain maintenance records, logs, and equipment history.
- Ensure calibration and servicing activities are completed as planned.
- Track spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement requirements.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and company procedures.
- Follow SOPs and maintenance protocols.
- Support safety audits and inspections.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safe working practices.
Vendor & Team Coordination
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for repairs and AMC activities.
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Support automation and process improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
- 2–6 years of experience in maintenance and repair operations.
- Experience in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, FMCG, automotive, or industrial environments preferred.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of preventive maintenance systems.
- Familiarity with utilities and facility equipment.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
- Basic computer and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PLC systems and automation.
- Knowledge of GMP, safety, and maintenance compliance standards.
- Experience using CMMS or maintenance management software.
- Certification in maintenance, electrical safety, or industrial systems.
