Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead fixture prove-out activities for new projects and special-purpose machines (SPMs), ensuring
dimensional accuracy, repeatability, and stability.
Evaluate and finalize tool selection for various operations such as turning, milling, drilling, honing, and
grinding, based on material, geometry, and required surface finish.
Optimize cutting parameters (speed, feed, depth of cut) for best cycle time and tool life balance.
Work closely with design, assembly, and application teams to validate fixture design and clamping
strategy through practical trials.
Conduct detailed GD&T study to ensure fixture and process compliance with drawing requirements.
Analyze and improve cycle time through cutting trials, tool path optimization, and parameter tuning.
Support process engineers in machine prove-out, run-off, and customer acceptance.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fixture accuracy, tool wear, chatter, and dimensional
variation.
Collaborate with tool manufacturers to identify new tooling technologies for productivity
improvement.
Maintain process documentation including fixture validation reports, tool sheets, and cutting data
sheets.
Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards during all prove-out activities.
